This movie was DOPE! It tells the story of French convict Henri Charrière (Charlie Hunnam), nicknamed Papillon (“butterfly”), who was imprisoned in 1933 in the notorious Devil’s Island penal colony.
Just watching the movie makes you know that American prison ain’t the best but not the worse either. If you’re into deep and emotional flicks laced with ambition then this movie is for you. I’ve watched the older version and the remake and both were good. Of course I liked the older version better brut that’s probably because the thrills and suspense of not knowing is still there unlike the remake where it’s impossible to create.
You won’t be disappointed. It’s DOPE. And BLOCK PAPER CERTIFIED
