U.S. on-demand streams of YG’s anti-Donald Trump song “FDT,” featuring Nipsey Hussle, vaulted 475% on Nov. 7 after it was announced that Joe Biden was projected to defeat Trump in the U.S. presidential election, according to initial streaming reports from Nielsen Music/MRC Data.

“FDT” received 2.5 million on-demand streams in the U.S. on Nov. 7, leaping from its 438,000 on Nov. 6. Comparatively, the song drew 190,000 streams on Oct. 31, a week before belated election results from Pennsylvania reportedly pushed Biden to enough electoral votes to unseat the incumbent.

In fact, the one-day Nov. 7 count for “FDT” exceeds the overall amount for the song was in the entire Oct. 23-29 tracking week, the final full frame prior to the election, with 759,000 total on-demand streams in that seven-day period.

The song, which saw similar sales gains between Nov. 6 and 7, is one of many that surged in streaming on Nov. 7, some due to their usage during Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris’ speeches Nov. 7 in Delaware, others due to their celebratory nature following their victories.
